Product Description

Following up the great success of the TBS (Thumb Brake System), IMA have now launched the IBS (Index Brake System).

The IBS applies to the handlebar and allows for left-hand rear brake drive (scooter style).

The riding benefits are the same as the thumb brake, but the IBS works by pulling instead of pushing, the lever is longer and the braking effect is enhanced.

The master cylinder features a harmonious and compact shape for a small form factor, as well as a proportionate bore in order to offer an excellent braking feeling.

Product ideal for track use, where with many bikes now having auto-blip, the clutch is now rarely used and can be moved to make room for a second lever (usually the clutch lever is rotated upwards and the IBS placed in the clutch lever position).

The advancement of the lever is adjustable thanks to the combined action of the adjustable pushing rod and the forward limiter.

The perfect leverage ratio, the study of the components ergonomics and the CAD/CAM machining make IBS a carefully designed and very high quality product. Using the IBS is natural and intuitive, and braking performance is excellent.

Offered in 2 versions:

Racing – Single hand brake (foot brake is deleted)

Complete – Dual drive (hand brake and foot brake)

Also available is a reservoir kit, which contains a small genuine Brembo reservoir, a bendable 'ladybird' bracket from KurveyGirl, two Brembo spring clips and a length of Tygon brake tubing.

A HEL brake line can be ordered from us.  We stock a small range of colours and lengths, suitable for most fitments, or for special colours etc we can get them made-to-order, which will take a couple of days.

Please contact us with any additional fitment questions.
